Ya know that nice, thick manual with all the pretty pictures and  wonderful Japanese writing in it that came with our Z's? Well, has anyone spent the time and effort to create an English version pdf of it?

Hmmm. Got that, even printed it out, thank you very much Trisoft. Just didn't seem to be as comprehensive (thick?), as the included Japanese manual is. Not that I haven't been able to find anything in the translated version that I've needed so far, because I have but I was just curious to know if there was anything missing (lost?), in the translated copy.

Thanks Kahm,  did you take proud possession of your new C1K yet? Your old one is working like a champ, and I've even ordered some extra goodies for it (extra battery, Pentopia stylus and an extra EA-72).

Best regards,

gdog

Most of the japanese manual is pretty basic stuff about how to use the apps. Probably little that you can't work out yourself, and certainly nothing compared to the info you can pick up here!

jamesannan,

I can't argue with that! I've learned more from this board and others like it than I will likely ever be able to repay in kind!!!!

It would be nice if somehow the people who create this forum software, and others like it could chart the posts people make that actually help others figure things out. And then keep a running total not only of their posts, but of the number of posts that help others, and which truly make them the stars of the show. There are more than a few on this board, in all the forums, from which I've received that I would be hard pressed to have done without. I'd mention names but I'm sure I'd forget at least one and at the risk of offending them I won't take the chance. But I think we all have a pretty good idea who we look to for help when we need it round heah!

Regards,

gdog

I think the most useful part of japanese manual is tell you how to connect PC.
THe other part just tells you how to use the app software.

If you want more useful info of Zaurus,
I suggest to read the Sharp's Homepage Zaurus Q&A.
It writes lot of  the problems that you may meet.

Not yet. It's in the mail, but a couple of misunderstandings with the post office caused it to be returned, twice. (How can you go into a post office, put an insured value on a package, have your native Japanese interpreter ask for insurance on the package, and have the post office send the package off, only to get it back 2 days later beacause THAT BRANCH OF THE POST OFFICE CAN"T PUT INSURANCE ON PACKAGES!!!!)

It'll probably be her ~middle of June. Just in time for Trisoft to let us in on their big secret for the next Z.

How do you like that pentopia stylus?

Kahm,
I can only imagine the aggravation you're going through, though at least you have other models to work with in the meantime.. About all I can say regardking my stylus is that all I've gotten so far is the tracking numbers which I haven't checked yet.

I hope they get their act together on your C1K soon!!!

Got it today Kahm along with the spare battery and apparently Z-killing EA-72 adapter I ordered grey market. I like the stylus alot better, mostly because it also extends out a little and fits my hand better.
