Thanks for your reply, Meanie!
Yes, I see the X Server icon now in the Settings Tab
I checked and I did use the '0.3' version of the debian startup scripts...
I had a feeling that I wasn't supposed to run X from within X....
Hmmm....so what do you suggest now???
Should I try going through all your steps in your Debian instructions again??
If so, what should I do if anything, before doing that??
Or?

Also, remembered one more strange thing....now I can't turn off my C3000 with the On/Off button!!
Don't know if this has to do with installing jumbo package or de-installing previous X/Qt/Debian install or QuantumSTEP or

..... In fact, after I click the On/Off button, Z freezes up now....then have to reset Z and reboot....
Thanks for any help.
Mark
I still havent figured about which library is complaining about the dependencies but the library complaining is definately not needed so I just need to remove it from the package once I find which the offending library is.
I moved the X Server icon to the Settings Tab
The jumbo package includes the debian startup scripts so installing that package just overwrote it with the same files I hope
Make sure you were using the 0.3 version of the debian startup scripts (which is the same as the one in the jumbo package)Â It looks like you may have installed an older version (0.2) of the debian startup scripts. If that is the case, simply uninstall the debian scripts and put the newer 0.3 debian-startup scripts in.
The other errors you got were because you tried to run X from within X. xlauncher should only be run from outside the X environment. I should add a check to it and make sure it only runs when its not in X.
