Problems With Opie Player 2
« on: June 05, 2005, 05:17:40 am »
Hey guys,

I'm using the latest OPIE 3.5.3 on my Zaurus 5500. I installed:

libmodplug0
libstdc++6
libxine-plugin-ao-out-oss
libxine-plugin-decode-mad
libxine-plugin-dmx-audio
libxine-plugin-dmx-avi
libxine-plugin-dmx-mpeg
libxine-plugin-inp-file
opie-mediaplayer2-codecs
opie-mediaplayer2-skin-default
opie-mediaplayer2

I got the media player to play mp3s, but when I play an mp3, I get the OpiePlayer screen, but I don't see any pause, play, stop buttons.  All I see is the title of the song scroll by and the time remaining.

When I play the an avi file, I can only get the audio part, but no video.

Help me out here guys..
Thanks

Do you get any errors/warnings when you launch it from the terminal?

Also, isn't libxine needed?

I had similar problems with OP2 on both OZ and TkC ROMS finaly used a swap file to increase the amount of RAM available to OP2 and the problem went away.
