Kino Version 0.4.2 On Sl-6000
« on: June 07, 2005, 09:39:11 am »
I've installed the Kino new version 0.4.2 (it supports SL-6000) with mplayer w100

Everithing works well but after i stop a video, the zaurus screen remains blank; in the oldest version there isn't this problem...

I try to enable overclock ....but i've no choice, i'm using SL6000 with standard sharp rom
How can i enable overclock on sl-6000 (i've installed sudo too)

i try to map keybord to up / down volume but it doesent work....

Any helps ???

Funny, much of what I learned about Kino when I got my 6K was from your posts.
No overclocking if you don't install an overclocking capable kernel, could be adf or guylhem (adf my recommendation), plus sudo.
Volume up/down is on round-button up/down.

That's a confirmed bug. You have to live with it until the author fixes it.

Kino Version 0.4.2 On Sl-6000
« Reply #4 on: July 17, 2005, 10:14:27 pm »
Hello guys,

for about a year I had kino 0.3 + mplayer from kino 0.22 on my SL-6000L. Today I too installed kino 0.4.2 + mplayer W100, and I have a couple of issues:

1. When not playing full screen, the video window is not centered within the kino GUI but is stays in the upper left corner of the SL-6000L screen. I didn't have this issue with the older version of kino + mplayer. Any idea how to fix this? Maybe is there a command I can pass to mplayer with the coordinates of the screen where to place the video window?

2. It seems to me that the video quality is a little lower than with kino 0.3. Could it be that the these new versions of kino and mplayer, while more featured, are "heavier" for the SL-6000L to run?

I have the original Sharp ROM on my SL-6000L.

Any hint?

Thanks in advance, Paolo.
