Secure Email
« on: June 17, 2005, 05:31:40 pm »
I've got an old SL-5500 here with Sharp ROM 3.10

I need to perform authenticated email and I think the mail server requires a secure connection.

Can this be done with the email client that comes with this ROM?

If so, what type of security is it?  TLS?  SSL?

I can't seem to get it to work...

Thanks,

Drew

Search for Stunnel  there are some tips on how to set it up to use the zaurus mail client for secure mail. I had good success using SSL over POP for gmail but never got the TLS working well for SMTP. Ultimately I went to KM/Pi.
