Below is the letter that I received from Beiks customer service.   If you experience problems with Beiks BDicty (like me), contact customer support for a link to the new version 5.3.1.   Who knows maybe your problem has been solved (mine has).
"we have a new yet-to-be-released version of BDicty for Sharp Zaurus, which might solve your problem. 
    Please, download the new version from [EDITED] and install it over the one already installed on your Sharp Zaurus.
