In my dmesg I see :

spectrum_cs: AccessConfigurationRegister: Configuration locked
eth0: Error -16 shutting down Hermes chipset

When I run network start eth0, or ifconfig eth0 up. I have the iwconfig settings proper. The networking setup program does not seem to any proper setup. I know the card works. Can anyone help me set this up?

I'm not trying to offend, but are you using a regular wire-based Cat-5 NIC (eth0), or a wireless NIC (wlan0)?

Wireless. It identifies as eth0. As it has done with every other setup, yet. It's interesting that I can pivot_root and get it working in pdaXrom's distro. (No monitor mode yet) But I get that error in Cacko 3b1. I can only assume it is something configured wrong as the kernel seems to function. I have looked everywhere I can think to find the problem.

Odd... Have you checked your configuration files?  I posted some of my settings in a previous post.

That's part of the problem, I don't really know which ones to check.  I have a vague idea. I've checked the files in /etc/pcmcia. Aside from that I don't know what to do. I'm not sure what the key files are for the whole operation. I know that the network configuration program in pdaXrom changed something so it automatically put my wep key in. I have no idea what file it edited either. Any ideas?
