Well, I'm not looking for a solution to impress my colleagues, but for a solution I can work with.
That was just a for instance of how great it is to be able to run this on such a small device.
I can probably live with a slow start of Openoffice, but how about reaction and processing time of Openoffice after the start? Is it reasonable? If I write text fluently, does Openoffice eat it all, or do I have to stop in order to wait for openoffice to receive the characters? That would be a no-go for me.
Once you've opened the document and gotten into it, it's fine, there's a little delay when you access menus and their dialog boxes.
If all you are doing is writing text, then use hancom word, it's way faster.
If you want to view a fully formatted document, edit that document, apply new formatting, type new things, this solution is excellent. I was able today, during my commute, to open and make edits to a 20 page document without having to drag a laptop out of my bag on the london underground. Ok it wasn't the fastest way to do it, the laptop would have been severely more capable of doing these edits, but I was in a crowded tube train, I had to stand at first, and the whole time I was working away. Now THAT is convenience and that's the benefit of this.
