No, it was announced, but ....

If it isn't this weekend, I'll try the latest snapshots (a lot of good things are added to xfwm, thunar and xarchiver).

actually beta 1 is the 'stable' release for 7x0-860 only.

beta3 is 'stable' for C1000/3100

sure, that is: beta1 is the latest COMMON stable for every model. Beta3 isn't stable for EVERY model, but for every model EXCEPT 7x0-860. I already spoke with Chero about the need of packages valid model-wise. Beta1 packages will be perfect for beta3 by adding a simple library for compatibility.
Sorry for being not that clear before

c'mon Chero

I'm working on it,

settings-manager, base libs and xarchiver (really nice) compiled, still working on the rest. I haven't got a lot of time right now, I hope to be able to continue during the weekend, cause next week I'll be on a camping trip with my kids (without Z    ).
Thunar won't be included in the first release, the newer version requires some perl-modules that are not in the feeds I checked.

Have fun,
Chero.

Hello, I just installed rox to run inside xfce4. I cannot change the background. The manual says you right click on the desktop to do it. Right click works ok on xfce4 (for instance to add things to the panel). It seems non working on the rox pinboard. I have 6000 (Tosa), pdaxrom beta1, xfce4 4.2, rox from 6000 feed beta1. The rox filer opens without a menu, just a button bar. The manual mentions and shows a menu which has configuration options.
Please help me, thank you.

While you were bumping I was on a camping trip, having car-troubles on my way back home and sweating a lot ...

I'll give you a pre-release of an xfce4.4beta2-all-in-ipk in a few days. (it's running on my Z and doing fine).

Do the bump ...

Trying the new 4.4 beta 2 on my Z 3200. Installed to an ext2 partition on the internal drive. What I like about this beta is that it just works. Right out of the box. With 4.2 there was a lot of faffing around. Of course the plugins
should spice things up a bit!

Takes a little longer to startup though.

Some things I tried:
* aterm launcher works
* default height for taskbar (the top one) doesn't allow battery monitor to show current charge. I can just see an icon and a black bar
* Locked up when I removed the SD card (I think this maybe because I launched xfce from mnt/card or I was in mnt/card in an aterm sess)
* Needed to add SL-C3200 to the xinitrc.xfce script to get the keymaps working
* Installed rox pinboard. Seems to work ok. Haven't used rox before. Filer looks good
* sometimes I seem to lose focus and not be able to get it back (It's like it's hung but things are still updated and I can still move the cursor around). My feeling is it could be rox but it's a guess

Exiting straight after load highlighted some errors regarding not being able to load some hicolor icons, go to freedesktop.org to download.

Some questions:
* Will it possible to do the tweaks to the taskbars to make them one/hide them etc?
* Any cool features I should be aware of (s'pose I should check the XFCE website right?)

HTH

I'll continue playing...

Thanks for a great job Chero
