Any Interest In Duke3d?
« on: July 26, 2005, 01:12:45 am »
I managed to compile it with gcc 3.4.2 optimized for xscale and with soft float and running in qtopia.

The sound problem persists though.  Maybe someone on this list can take a look at the source.  It is simply beyond my know how to fix it.

I can post the instructions on how to compile it or I can compile it for anyone willing to examine the source code.

Thanks.

No ipk. I can email you  the binary.  I have only tested it with the shareware version of duke3d.  The libs are statically compiled so it should work.

I disabled precaching of sounds and the Tab key is used as Escape key.
Its fast and playable, music works well.  The only problem is the sound effects.

great will try it now

another few cool apps to compile with soft float would be stratagus and scummvm, any possibilities on that. both are very well behaved sdl apps.
