PIM is already included with gpe-contacts and gpe-calender, for the mail app see [a href=\"http://handhelds.org/hypermail/gpe/43/4386.html]http://handhelds.org/hypermail/gpe/43/4386.html[/url]. I would recommend gpe-mini-browser or dillo2 for browsing the web.

For X based low resource systems what i would suggest would be,
email - use sylpheed , it is the best email client in terms of features for a low resource environment
browsing - you can use dillo, it is very fast and light on resources.
Just forget about mozilla and firefox etc, you can get them to run but the speed is horrible.

I can't use Sylpheed from OZ 3.5.3 feed on a Collie, every time I run it the application starts but widgets won't react to taps.

I suggest Minimo.

I installed OZ/GPE images yesterday onto my Spitz and as far as I recall Sylpheed was already installed on some of them. And it seemed to work as well, although I didn't configure it.
Zaurus SL-C3000, Pretec OC-WLBXX-A Wifi CF card, 128/256Mb CF memory cards
(OS: Trying to get OpenZaurus/GPE work with my Z, I would like to have Debian and X-Windows on my machine with Abiword, Gnumeric and Sylpheed)

Anyone else notice that Minimo doesn't allow you to back up to previous pages?

Run sylpheed for the first time via ssh -X on your browser. Make all necessary adjusts for running on 240x320 (I used smaller fonts, turned off iconbar and statusbar and panned the messages in a separate window). After that run on the Z. Works... not great, but works
