The calendar crashes when I try to go into \'Month\' view
« on: July 27, 2003, 06:45:56 am »
Doh!,

I\'ve recently downloaded TheKompany ROM and flashed into my 5500. Like most of you, I\'m pretty impressed with the overall look and feel. However, after installing the (separate) apps (i.e. Hancom stuff, Jeode, Opera and the Sharp PIM), I\'ve found that the calendar app bombs out when I try to switch to the \'Month\' view - all othe views come up ok.

My question: Has anyone else experienced this? Should I bin the Sharp PIM and install korganiser?

I don\'t want to invest time and effort here, unless there\'s a potential happy outcome...

TIA

M

The calendar crashing on month view happened to me before with the sharp 3.10 rom.  I just ended up re-flashing my 5500 and it seemed to correct the issue.  It\'s a crappy solution if you\'ve already installed everything the way you like it.  After I re-flashed my Z, the first thing I check is the month view in the calendar.

good luck

Thanks for the reply,

I came to a similar conclusion - especially as I found out that Thekompany ROM had gone from RC3 to RC4 the day after I downloaded. Doh! So, I bit the bullet and did a re-flash with RC4 and reinstalled the PIM etc. Everything seems ok now, but obviously I don\'t know wheter it was just re-flashing or whether the problem was fixed in RC4. Ah well, you live and learn.
