Symbol Cf Wifi On C3000

Just got my C3000 and plugged the symbol cf wifi into the CF slot, it does recognize it as a CF wifi, but the status is suspended. I tried to use "cardctl resume", it reported as "resouce busy ...".
   Any reported problem? I'm using the default Sharp ROM.

I am using symbol wifi card

you need to edit the configure file
but i cant remember which one
you just search for symbol and you should be able to find the thread

I have a C3100 and a spectrum24 card and I'm having no problems with it as long as you set the card up as a lan card and then use iwconfig to set the rest.

I'm yet to try and use it to connect to a public / other network than my own but I can nip into the city and try it there theres a tonn of WiFi points.

Note: one problem I have encountered on the stock rom is that you can't put the card into monitor mode . Think its a kernel driver issue.

It would be nice to get the proper driver for the card

Do you guys know how to setup kismet with C1000/C3000 on the symbol wifi card?

for some reason I can't get it working.....

I have the symbol card working under LAN instead of WLAN because C1000 couldn't recognize it as one of the wifi card.

I've had better luck getting wellenrieter to work , however because you can't get the card to go into monitor mode on the STOCK ROM its got limited functionality. I'm yet to get any great success in that area. Wellenrieter is the better software of the two so I'd suggest you go with that one.

IF your feeling brave you can install a new ROM both cacko and openzaurus fully support the symbol specturm24 card as far as I am aware. You only have partial support for it under the standard stock rom and I'm yet to find any other way bar for changing the rom to support it.

So do I need any special settings with wellenrieter? Thanks for your suggestion
