Greetings! Apologizes if this issues is already discussed in somewhere else. I did not find any thread concerning this.
I am a newbie, had Zaurus SL-C3000 for about one month. I have tried various ROM:s and got interested in trying Debian Linux on my Zaurus. I followed instructions on these pages (mainly the first one):
http://www.eleves.ens.fr/home/leurent/zaurus.htmlhttps://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=13560Now I have my /root/etc/rc.d/rc.rofilesys file modified according to the first link page. I cannot boot anymore. The text-mode boot gives various error-lines and after couple of screens displays this error:
INIT: Id "ln" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
The boot script continues to scroll after 5 mins only to halt again, this goes on endlessly (have left my Zaurus for hours without any difference). I have tried also [unplug] -> [battery off] -> [reset] -> [OK+ON/OFF] -> [number 3] -> [number 1] in order to erase all information. No differense.
Is there anything I can do to restore my Zaurus? - I think I'd be ok if I'd only get to change the old rc.rofilesys over the modified one. But this seems impossible without getting any boot up.
I'm not going to send my Zaurus overseas for repair. Please tell me I don't have a 800 USD hi-tech paperweight on my desk!
Yours,
Mersault
