Usb Hdd Applet
« on: September 06, 2005, 08:51:40 pm »
Has anyone written an applet similar to the ones that displays on the taskbar when a CF or SD card is inserted and allows them to be unmounted but for USB disks? I was thinking of writing one if nobody has done it yet. My plan is for it to be able to detect and mount several external USB disks, USB thumbdrives and USB CD-ROM drive.

The CF/SD applet allows you to unmount USB storage devices - at least it does when the device is /dev/sda1. Haven't tried with other devices yet.

Also the System Info appp on Cacko 1.22 allows the unmounting of almost all devices.
