Need Orinoco Modules For Wi-fi Card
«

I have a Spectrum 24 wifi card from my Wince days which uses the Orinoco kernel modules. My 3100 doesn't have these installed, however.
Where can I go to d/l them? I looked in the Cacko feed but didn't see anything.
Thanks

Please forgive the self-bump but I really would like this question answered. I have a 2.4.20 kernel and can't believe I'm the only one here with this problem. Apparently no one else has the same wifi card?

Hi,
Don't cry... Change in the file "/etc/pcmcia/spectrum.conf" the class of your device from "spectrum" to "network", after this reboot your Z.
If you need to set wep, make with "iwconfig" in the terminal.
ok?

has anyone built these for the stock rom or will we have to re-flash the PDA to get them to work?
Reason I ask is that you CAN'T get the card to go into monitor mode unless you use the latest drivers but the stock C3100 doesn't ahve them.
I'm assuming that we'd have to change the kernel to make the changes right?
All I want is a wifi card that bloody works
