Skype exists for Linux (SuSe, Fedora, Mandrake, and Debian).
Is it possible to install Skype on Zaurus?

this has been discussed here a few times - search for skype.
anyway, sadly, no... there's a forum at skype about it:
[a href=\"http://forum.skype.com//viewtopic.php?t=4017&highlight=&sid=c239bdde57ff927e6d9e8194ee93af51]http://forum.skype.com//viewtopic.php?t=40...d9e8194ee93af51[/url]
and there's a petition at
http://www.publicmind.com/enduser/group.jsp?node=1669 (seems to be down at present)
lpotter has hinted that trolltech have discussed this with skype, but no other information is available
there are a few issues, here's those I can remember...
1) are there enough Z users who'd use Skype?
... maybe not outside Japan, I don't know if there are enough Z's in Japan to make Skype interested.
2) are Skype willing to recode their application into qtopia-2 & qt-embedded-2.3.x from qt-3?
3) does the Zaurus have sufficient processing power
...with the stock sharp rom, i.e. without special kernel, without overclocking
4) does the Zaurus have enough memory
5) would Skype have to buy more trolltech licenses and would it be worth their while?
If you had about US$25000, you could probably sponsor Skype to do it.
