Usb-serial Adapters On Cacko Rom / Sl-c3000
« on: September 19, 2005, 08:12:01 am »
Hello,

I need a serial port and am thinking about usage of an USB to serial converter.
Does the Cacko 1.23b1 ROM for the SL-C3000 contain one? If yes, which kind of modules work (chipset)?

I just plugged in such an adapter (which I do not know the used chip, though) and it loads the usbcore and usb_ohci_pxa27x modules, but nothing else.

Any ideas?

Or what about the serial port on the Sharp I/O port? Is it fully usable? I recall discussions about it and finally the conclusion that it only works unidirectional or so.
But if it works fully (I probably only need Gnd, Tx and Rx, no handshaking), where can I get an appropriate plug?

Thanks

daniel
