Can You Flash From An Mmc Card? (same As Sd?)
« on: September 25, 2005, 09:28:37 am »
Hi all, I want to change the rom on my 3100. (I know I must only use 3100 specific ones.) My question is:

As far as the Z is concerned is there any difference between an mmc and an sd card? I only ask because I want to flash but I only have an mmc card handy. It works fine in the sd slot, and I've read that there is no difference on the Z anyway, as it doesn't use the SD's DRM "features".  But flashing is a risky business, so I just want to make sure that I can do it with an mmc card!!

Thanks,
Emil

Sure...
I flashed my SL-C1000 from (256Mb CF Transcend 45x, 256Mb SD Kingstone, 128Mb MMC Transcend)...
So I flashed my SL-5500 from CF-trio+mmc32Mb Transcend.
