I'm having a strange problem, after a reboot KO/Pi (v 2.2.0) won't load my calendar file. It takes a terribly long time to start up (KO/Pi) and then I get an error message saying that it can't load the calendar. Any ideas? Tried to import my last backup (ack! two weeks old) and also to import Last File and it won't do so, KO/Pi closes when I attempt. I hope I haven't lost all my calendar data...

You can have a look into the ics calendar file(s). They are clear text, so you can see if some recently added stuff is missing.
I recommend to reinstall KDEPIM/PI (i.e. uninstall it entirely, then reinstall it entirely - all packages!).
If that does not work, have a good look into the ics files - maybe they are corrupted.
And have a look onto your working directories / drives: Are they short of space? Or mounted read-only? KO/PI may want to create a temporary backup copy which will probably need the same size as the original file. I am not sure, just an idea.
I once had a problem when saving in PDEPIM/PI: It kept saying that it cannot save the backup file. I investigated and the reason turned out to be a read-only-mounted drive. I coud remount it read-write, but everytime KO/PI wanted to save, it was remounted read-only automatically.
The file system was corrupted where one of the files were. I could not even delete the file. So I copied the contents of the entire kdepim data directory into a new directory, renamed the old directory (this did work without the automatic read-only remounting) and rename d the new directory to the old name. So I had a non-corrupted copy of the old data I could work with again.
After the next backup I recreated the entire file system on hdd3 and the finally the old defective kdepim data tree was erased.
