You will need the vnc server installed on the machine you want to connect to.

Also you will need a working network connection between the zaurus and the server.

Whatch out if you have a firewall on your machine, either add the vnc ports into the firewall or disable it for testing.

get vnc server for your pc/powerbook here :-

http://www.realvnc.com/

That\'s it really.
Zaurus cl760, cacko QT rom. Zaurus sl5500 with TKCrom 1.0.

Bluemonkey bluetooth card <-> Sony Ericsson k700i for gprs.
Buffalo WLI-CF-S11G wifi card. Haicom 303 mmf gps cf/seral card.

Ah Ha!  I\'m running Special pre-emptive kernel on a 5600 and the code is supposedly based on an 860.  Since upgrading, I\'ve had a problem with VNC server as well.  The Zaurus will become unresponsive, when I try to start apps they don\'t start or seg fault and within a couple of minutes the Zaurus goes back to the count-down part of the boot process.

I tried going back to the Sharp v1.32 ROM and VNC worked fine.  I re-installed the special version and the problem is back.   I\'ve tried capturing the output from VNCServer\'s errors but there doesn\'t appear to be much there.
