Power adapter for 5600: would 6v/1A replace the 5V/2A?

The power adapter that comes standard with the 5600 (EA-70) is a little cumbersome for travel.  The adapter is small but lots of cable on either side.  Maybe I should hack a short replacement for the A/C side.

In the meantime, I have a 6V/1A (that I used with Psion).  How dangerous would you think it would be to substitute it for the 5V/2A of the Zaurus (total number is the same :-)

Thanks!

I don\'t think you want to go over voltage by that much.

There was lots of info on the devnet site about this (to do with making your own battery packs and what type of batteries to use, etc.)
