Hello,

I was wanting to try out the Open Zaurus software, but I am not able to download the images for my 5500. When I go to the ftp site and start the download, it starts at .3kbs and then times out after about 10 min.

Are there mirrors for the images?

Thanks!!!

Joe

This mirror was on the Openzaurus-users mailing list today:

OK, thanks...

I was able to get my Z flashed with the 3.5.4 RC version and it workes great.

However, when I try to upgrade my packages or install a new one, I get errors that the sites are not responding. I tryed to browse to one of the sites in Firefox (On my PC) and sure enough, page was not found.

Are there updated repos for upgrades and such?

Thanks for the reply!!!

Joe

I would suggest that you edit your /etc/ipkg.conf file to reflect the new address of the mirror for now. You will have to change each line in ipkg.conf from:

src/gz upgrades http://openzaurus.org/official/unstable/3.5.3/upgrades/
to
src/gz upgrades http://ewi546.ewi.utwente.nl/mirror/www.op...3.5.3/upgrades/

and so on for each of them listed until the problem is resolved

This is because this is a Release Candidate for testing rather than a release which will have new feeds, etc.

Yes, but the RC feeds 'were' correct except for the opie feed. You only had to change:

/openzaurus.org/official/unstable/3.5.3-snapshot-20051023/feed/opie
to
/openzaurus.org/official/unstable/3.5.3/feed/opie

Now they all must be changed until they have a new location for them... that's the way I read/understand it?
