even more simply all i want to do is mount my zaurus 3100 on my mac osx 10.4.3 on my desktop so i can copy files to and from the cf hard drive. It works as easy as pie on a windows box but i can the dang thing to mount on a mac really really annoying

someone must have a magic formula - seems like it should be easy

I have recently published: [a href=\"http://www.dsitri.de/download/AJZaurusUSB-README.pdf]http://www.dsitri.de/download/AJZaurusUSB-README.pdf[/url] which might be helpful to find the correct settings.

There is no known issue with 10.4.3 (yet) - beyond the old issue with Mac or Zaurus sleep.

Hm. Strange.

Can you please have a look at the Console log if it tells something about the driver?

Another idea is to look into the System Profiler how it recognizes the Zaurus as an USB device.

It might be a conflict with a different driver that "takes over" the Zaurus.

This indicates that the Zaurus is recognized as a disk drive before the Mac even attempts to try to load the USB driver.

Did you set the PC Link Settings like shown in the first picture of http://www.dsitri.de/download/AJZaurusUSB-README.pdf (which is made on a C860 - the C3100 might have additional settings)? Especially the "Mode" to "PC Link" and not "Storage"? I think you must have the Zaurus unplugged when changing that.

For "uninstalling" a package on the Mac, please locate the package at "/Library/Receipts" and delete it there. This will help the Installer to recognize it as a fresh installation.
