Bluetooth And G-rom Rc4
« on: November 25, 2005, 04:20:08 am »
This kernel doesn't seem to have the bluetooth modules, where can I download them please? Did a search of the G-rom forums but nothing obvious, sorry.

Also, there's a net.bt.off but not on script. I can write one, no problem (I played a lot with bluetooth on my c860/cacko), but easier to not reinvent the wheel!

after chatting to Guylhem, I downloaded and managed to cross-compile the kernel. I had to roll my own config file.

basically, do the makemenuconfig as a regular user using the x86 tools, save the config, then do the make.

I've also downloaded the latest bluez utils, libs etc, will build them.

soon as I get my bluetooth card back from my brother, I'll give it a go.

I've now build bluez2.22 against this kernel, lib, utils, hcidump, and fireware.

I'm not in a position to test these programs, but maybe someone else can. I will then ipk them if I have reasonable proof they work.

d'oh, I've been having problems attaching my uploads, I think I finally worked it out

sigh, no.

I'd suggest unpacking the tarball in /usr/local

please note!

these are still untested. I've bought another bluetooth CF for use with my 6000, as my brother's currently borrowing my 860 and symbol CF bt card (trusting am I you think? Well, I have his expensive Nikon D70 digi SLR in return!).

Used the latest Bluez package. I tried to replace the corresponding modules with those compiled by adf (at least a good start), but without luck

Code: [Select]
/The bluez package comes with the following lib and modules

/usr/lib/libbluetooth.so
/usr/lib/libbluetooth.so.1
/usr/lib/libbluetooth.so.1.0.13

.../kernel/drivers/bluetooth/bluecard_cs.o *
.../kernel/drivers/bluetooth/bt950_cs.o
.../kernel/drivers/bluetooth/btuart_cs.o   *
.../kernel/drivers/bluetooth/dtl1_cs.o    *
.../kernel/drivers/bluetooth/hci_uart.o   *
.../kernel/drivers/bluetooth/hci_usb.o    *
.../kernel/drivers/bluetooth/hci_vhci.o   *

.../kernel/drivers/net/bluetooth/bluez.o
.../kernel/drivers/net/bluetooth/l2cap.o
.../kernel/drivers/net/bluetooth/sco.o

.../kernel/drivers/net/bluetooth/bnep/bnep.o
.../kernel/drivers/net/bluetooth/rfcomm/rfcomm.o

* means the fast kernel has the corresponding module compiled by adf

I untared your package. But seems we're not even there yet. I guess we need to have all the modules sorted out for the preemptive kernel first.
