Status Of 2.6 Kernels For Collie/poodle
« on: December 05, 2005, 07:58:09 pm »
I noticed that the 2.6 Kernel Status Page for Collie/Poodle has not been updated since June. Is this a dead project or is this just a temporary delay? Thanks for any updates.

Don't know about poodle but collie is maintained by Pavel Machek recently and is progressing.

Richard Purdie often puts patches for poodle and collie into the kernel mainline, I checked the Changelog.
Is there any poodle status-page somewhere?

Does anyone know what the MMC/SD card situation is/will be for 2.6 on collie? Has someone looked at the internals of the binary 2.4 driver to write a 2.6 version? I remember reading somewhere that it was possible to load 2.4 module binaries into a 2.6 kernel with some sort of parameter voodoo, don't know if that's true or not.

Chris Larson has the necessary docs under NDA, but lacks time and motivation to write the drivers
Forums are not bugtrackers!!! Smart questions

How much motivation ($$$) would he need?
