best cf wifi card?

I am currently using a Netgear ma701
wifi card with no problems. (This is
being posted from my SL-5500 with
that card.) I got this card for $25.00
after rebate. From what I have read
the Socket card uses less power. Is
the power savings enough to justify the
$85.00+ price?
I currently get about 1 hour 20 minutes
from fully charged battery with the card
I have. Does the Socket card beat this
by much on a SL-5500 using the
original Sharp rom (2.38 on mine)?

I have the Symbol card on my SL-5600.  I can actively surf the web for an hour without the battery meter dropping at all or nor more than the 1st quarter.  Most cards are advertising 100 mA idle, but the Socket/Symbol is only 20 mA of current draw.  That\'s a pretty big difference especially on a 900 mAH battery. Most cards need around 250 mA on transmit, but you\'re receiving most of the time. Buying a second battery would be cheaper though...

Ive been wondering this for awhile, maybe someone can clarify.

If you have one CF card thats only using 20mA at \"idle\"  and one that uses 80mA at \"idle\".....will the card with higher power usage find AP\'s at a greater range than the low power card.........or is range just a function of the \"transmit/recieve\" power usage of the CF cards, which are all pretty similar?
