C1000 And Bluetooth Keyboard?
« on: January 25, 2006, 05:57:59 pm »
Hi!

i have C1000 with Cacko 1.23 and Bluetooth keyboard bought from
http://shop.brando.com.hk/btsmartkeyboard.php
The keyboard is good and works fine with my Nokia 6630.

The problem is: How to make that bluetooth keyboard usable with C1000? What type of driver needed to install?
SL-C1000, Cacko ROM v1.23,
D-Link DCF-650BT, Linksys WCF12
SD card 512MB, PDAIR case, pentopia stylus, ultra clear Brando screen-protector,

I have this same keyboard.  It is very nice.

It is not supported anywhere that I know of, but I have written my own driver for it.  It works well enough on my SL-6000 but the code is pretty rough and I haven't released it, or tested on any other models.

I tryed to pair keyboard with C1000 and after typed command found on topic "Thinkoutside Bluetooth Keyboard Working With 3100"
Code: [Select]
# hidd --connect XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
message appeared: operation not permitted.  Now i am confused
Am I doing something wrong or what?

Can you post your driver and i will try to test it on my C1000?

As far as I understand, your keyboard may have no HID profile, and it works only with handheld PCs and smartphones (no XP driver!). Stowaway has it so it can work with notebooks. It's technically possible to use your keyboard with Z, but you'll have to use serial profile instead.

No, this keyboard has a driver for XP (see Version 1.70). I tested it and works fine with PC or notebook.
Maybe this keyboard have no HID profile, or i am doing something wrong with configuration and error above appeared.

I didn't see an exact name (OEM) of your keyboard, and Brando didn't suggest that it had XP drivers. Actually, you should check the mode it works with Windows first, then, if it works as BT HID device (not serial!), we will be able to go further anymore.
