Av500 Problem
« on: March 07, 2006, 04:01:44 pm »
Hi All,

Can anyone help with a problem i'm finding with the AV500 since a hard disk change on the pc. Everything with the AV500 has been fine as far as both recording and playback on both audio and video, then just a couple of weeks ago, the hard disk died on the pc.
Having had a new hard disk installed on the pc, I now find when I connect the AV500 via the usb cable, then the drive clicked on in "My Computer". A message comes up stating that "The disk in drive E is not formatted. Do you want to format it now". Does anyone know how I can get round this.
Have now tried the AV500 on three different pc's and getting the error constantly now. Are my files now doomed?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi tat2sailor,

Just a follow up to my previous post. I've followed the instructions by Vladman on the link above, and it's worked!!!

If anyone has the EXACT symptoms he lists in his recap, then it's well worth a go. Have now got full access to the AV500 as it should be, and now able to add or remove files without any bother.

Thanks again for your help.

Bestest wishes,

Terry
