launcherx-batteryapplet anyone?
« on: February 19, 2004, 05:28:02 pm »
Hi there!

I\'m looking for the launcherx-batteryapplet for my Z5500. Community.zaurus.com seems to be down (I didn\'t read that whole thread down there, but I can\'t reach it anyway) and google didn\'t turn up something. Anybody knows where I can download it? Maybe someone could just send it to me, if there\'s no download location? Thanks for any help...

cheers
Philipp

The main screen for ZUG has a link to community.zaurus.com and has mirrored everything.  Lok at the left about 1/4 of the way down.
Handheld:. Sl-5500 tkcROM 1.0 (defunct) * apps on ext2 Lexar 256 SD
Desktop:. Mandrakelinux 10.2 Cooker * kernel 2.6.11
Both computers run linux, proud to be MS Free

Has anyone been able to get this to work on a 5500 with Sharp ROM 3.1?  I have the launcherx-batteryapplet  version 1.0.2 but can\'t seem to make it work.
Installing it makes the ROM version of the battery meter disappear, but nothing new appears to replace it.
When I uninstall the .ipk and reboot, the original comes back.
Help!

Well, then: Thanks a bunch, offroadgeek!

Idzeeboo, sorry, can\'t help you, I\'ve been using Open Zaurus since ever I got my Z.

Try the Applet Manager, and make sure that your applet is running...  Works great...  You can turn them on or off as you wish...  Good luck...  Regards...  Bob

Just in case, this is the link to the battery applet IPK file.  Trust me I blow up my 5500 regularly experimenting with code, OS, and apps.  Just be sure to back the perfect scenario when you have it perfect...
