KeyPebbles- Screen and Mouse OK, but no Keyboard...
« on: February 19, 2004, 05:52:29 pm »
Hi all,

I just installed keypebbles in a 860. I\'m able to connect to a VNC server (running win 2K3).
I can remote control the mouse, and see the screen clearly, however I can\'t type anything there. I can though send \"ctrl-alt-delete\" via menu, but no keyboad at all.

Heeeeelp!
Tks,
_CK

Hmmmm.... thank for the link.
Tried that too, same results. Curiously, I\'m also running it under Cacko. Weird...

Actually here is what happens:

- In windows logon screen, I can send ctrl-alt-del. The windows to provide usr/pwd pops up, but I can\'t type anything there.
- If the user is already logged in, I can type normally (e.g. notepad).
- \"Next is right-click\" doesn\'t work at all.

Everything works fine if I use a Win VNC viewer.

Very Strange.

I hadn\'t tried loggin in using VNC, so I gave it a go and it works fine.

I logged in typed the passsword on the zaurus, not bother.  I then did a logout and login as a different user and I found I couldn\'t move the cursor or type anything.

I exited vnc and went back in and it worked fine.

\"Next is right click\" also has never failed for me, I use this to queue mp3\'s in winamp.

The only problem I have is \"next is double click\" is greyed out and non functional.

Double clicking a folder in the windows explorer is a right royal pain, you often end up moving the folder into another folder, or renaming it etc.

What server are you using on the xp box?  I am using 3.3.7 on xp pro, without service pack 1 ( I need to patch it up at somepoint).

EDIT* I just noticed you are running win2k, for some reason I thought you were running XP.

I\'m also using VNC 3.3.7, the box is running Win 2K3 Srv.

If everything is working fine for you - thanks for the info! - then I think it\'s time to move on and reflash my Z. Probably I must have messed my OS with way too much junk.

In a separate not, do you know how to VPN to a Win Machine (running Remote Access Services). I can\'t find support for ms-chapv2.

Tks a lot!!!
