I have posted in the hardware forum, it will cause problems. If you are having 2GB sd in the slot, you will not be able to enter the D+B mode.

I just tried with my PNY 2GB card in the slot.
B+D boot itself works, but when it shows "INIT: Entering runlevel: 4" it gets VERY slow. On the login prompt, which appears about half a minute later, I cannot enter anything.
Seems as if the processor is very busy.
The cursor blinks very slowly (one blink cycle every 5 seconds).
When I eject the card the Zaurus is immediately responsive again (without rebooting).
When logging in as root then and calling "dmesg" I see a lot of
SD read CRC error
sd_read_multiple(4660) : receive error
mmc read checked intervalbuf: ERROR adr = 6144 (0x1800) , len = 2048 (0x800)
[SD]-R 1800 0800 ERROR!
(the number 0x1800 varies: 0x0000, 0x800, 0x1000, 0x1800).
If I insert the card again, the Zaurus is too busy to respond to keyboard entry again.
Is it possible to also replace the driver used in B+D boot with the new driver?
Is it as simple as replacing the driver module on mtdblockX using a NAND restore process?
Well, it's not essential. Now I only must make sure to always carry a CF card with Cacko ROM on it with me when travelling and experimenting a lot with the Zaurus.
by now I always had backups AND the Cacko flash files on one SD card together with all user data.
