Does anyone have an Intermec 6651?
Is it possible to put Linux on?
Are they made by Sharp?
There seems to be precious little information about them on the net. The processor seems a tad slow but the screen looks good. I am struggling with the smalls creen on the SL series.
I would like a Flybook but finances won't run to it.

hi, i have an intermec 6651 (well, two but the second is half dead, bought it only for its battery).
yes they're made by sharp, the bottom says produced by "sharp corporation"
the sharp telios hc7000 is the original model, the same basically (there was talk about some remote controller functionality that won't work on the intermec but dunno what this means)
netbsd may be possible, i don't know about linux. the cpu isn't that slow, except for videos, it can't cope with large resolutions for video. other than that it is absolutely ok. and the screen is indeed excellent. 800x480, and 7" and very bright. i too sometimes have problems with the small screen on the zaurus... surely no such problem with the intermec
any other questions, just ask.
