My two main PDA applications on PDAXROM are dillo and korganizer / kopi.  Is there a version of korganizer for gpe/oz.

Try using gpe-mini-browser instead of dillo, it's faster and supports more stuff (css, javascript, AJAX, etc)

I actually just installed dillo 'cause I couldn't get gpe-mini-browser to open local files. Maybe you can stear me back of the right path . In dillo there's a menu option to open a local file with a file browser. Not much to offer in mini other than the url box, & no matter what I typed in it wouldn't open a page that dillo or even links has no problems with.

As well, mini didn't recognize simple href tags pointing within the same page that work fine in all other browsers I've seen. Any idea about that?

thks

The man package understandably depends on groff, which is nowhere to be found (even on ipkgfind). Is it available to be added? I'd love to be able to have the man pages installed on my sd card!

do you want this as a bug report, or just leave it as it is?

I think xoscope,
http://xoscope.sourceforge.net/
or something like it would be interesting on a Collie.
I have used it on my powerbook in combination with
a homemade electromagnetic field detector that I plug
into my audio in port.

The screen on the Collie is a little small, and may pose
a problem in porting xoscope, but if sound in is working
(is it? I have not been able to record memo on GPE yet,
but that may be just my problem) this would be a great
device for acquiering all sorts of interesting low voltage
signals.

(EMF meter: some inductors, an opamp (optional if  you
have enough inductors or big enough coil), germanium
diodes to keep voltage swing close to half a volt, an audio
transformer (also optional), a 1/8 miniplug jack, and
male-male cable.)

<snip>
- firefox is instalable now
- thunderbird is instalable now

Tosa got "keymaps" package in newer version - with fixed numbers problem.
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=119883\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

I tried installing firefox and thunderbird to the SD card. Neither work.

During the install, the dependency issues seem to be fixed however cannot run the programs as neither knows where to find libraries... Is there a way to fix the paths in the ipk so that everything can find what it needs in order to run?

Thanks.

For local files with gpe-mini-browser, try file:///path/to/your/file.html.

That's three slashes: two for the file:// (like ftp:// or any other protocol), and then one to begin the path to the file.  So, if you wanted to view the configuration of your local samba server in gpe-mini-browser (don't ask me why you'd want to do that), it'd be file:///etc/samba/smb.conf .

installing to sd.. One day I have to check it - but first my SD cards must be supported by linux-2.6 ;( Currently my biggest working card is 16M MMC one which I use to flash kernels.

Or I will install to CF card (256M) but this makes me to choice.. cf mem or cf wifi - what for install firefox when there is no net ;(

I had to make this wrapper script in /usr/local/bin/man to set some variables for it to work properly. Can these be fixed in the packages build?

Code: [Select]
grog@grond[pts/0][/home/local/bin]$ cat man
#!/bin/sh
# man wrapper

export GROFF_FONT_PATH='/usr/share/groff/1.19.1/font'
export GROFF_TMAC_PATH='/usr/share/groff/1.19.1/tmac:/usr/share/groff/site-tmac'
unset PAGER

exec /usr/bin/man $@

HRW, I can send you a larger SD card if that would help. I have one that I'm not using... Is there a specific type of SD that works with the 2.6 kernel?
