I am finding the font size (12 max ) in the Terminal application far too small to read. Is there a way of increasing this? The zoom fuction doesn't seem to have an impact up, only down.

Thanks for any help

Let us know what "Flavor" rom you are using....

I know someone else is going to ask sooner or later OR even worse the thread will get ignored....

Whats your flavor?... not to be confused with the Craig David song..

PS... also, I wont be the one to do it... but I see some one posting for this to moved to the correct forum when the ROM you use is brought to light...

IThanks for your reply. It is version 1.12. Other answers to this question assume a lot of knowledge eg "Oh you just install more fonts and then link them..."  Newbies like me need a little more help. It seems people are more inclined not to help newbies on this site and get irritated by basic questions. Also just because it's been answered elsewhere doesn't mean new solutions crop up and are worh a new look at the problem.

So I would assume your still using the Stock Sharp Rom ver 1.12...

Umm... I dont currently run the sharp rom... but there is prolly a terminal configuration file... that you will need to edit to up the size of the font...

Maybe you should repost this under the sharp rom sub forum in here... someone one might just right on it... If find a down time today in the daily activities I will flash that Sharp Rom back to my z and look for the file...

There no problem with being NEWBIE... the problem is when your become an impatient Newbie... :-) (Not calling you impatient!!)

I am using 1.12, and I am not sure how to do this in Terminal, but I use Qkonsole and a font package called FreeMonoFont which includes some larger monospaced fonts.

I hope this helps,

Craig...

Hey Crag,

Where can you get FreeMonoFont?  I saw some on killefiz but they're pretty old ...

FreeMonoFont package is here:
http://www.zaurususergroup.org/feed/

A couple more useful feeds are:
http://cyberphreak.com/zaurus/feed.htm
here:
http://elkins.org/zfeed/
and here:
http://cacko.biz/cacko/feed

That one is only browsable within the "Add/Remove Software" application, using the "Install packages via networks" button.

Also, as mentioned, check out killefiz here:
http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus/

Just type in the name of the app in the search box (such as qkonsole).
