Qpsword Fix For C1000
« on: June 01, 2006, 05:32:41 pm »
I figured out where to get the qpsword that works in VGA mode (Cacko feed).  Now I was wondering if anyone has fixed the problem in the NT about when you get to Luke 4 where it goes blank and picks up working in I Corinthians.  I tried installing the 1.4.1 KJV version, but all I get when I load qpsword is a "1" in the field no matter what reference I put in.

I found a kjvlite.zip module that someone else had put together and it works great!

I have qpsword version 0.5.2 installed on my C1000 and the following modules:

sword-kjv-w-strongs, sword-abbott, sword-easton, sword-family, sword-josephus, sword-mhc, sword-nave, sword-neenormal, sword-packard, sword-practice, sword-robinson, sword-smith, sword-strongs-greek, sword-strongs-hebrew, sword-tfg, sword-tsk, and sword-websterdict.

When I first installed qpsword I got the '1" instead of text too.  I changed the permissions on the directory where they are installed and all is well.  Try the following command and see if this allows you to see the text:

chmod -R 777 /home/root/usr/share/sword/modules
SL-C1000, Cacko 1.23 & pdaXQTrom, 4GB Microdrive, AmbiCom WL1100C-CF Wifi card, AmbiCom BT2000-CF Bluetooth card

Thanks for the reply, I've switched to OpenZaurus for now, but good to know in the future.

AWESOME = I chased this problem for 2 days.  When I started QPSword, the program loaded, but the books were blank.  I had to install the books via the terminal
#su
# ipkg -force-depends install "my ipk book here"

Then i ran the permissions setting
#chmod -R 777 /home/root/usr/share/sword/modules

And it worked!!  This was the last thing to make my Z perfect (except for that syncing problem =)

I used this for my SL 5500 (actually a 5000D)
