alarm to speaker and headphones at the same time?
« on: February 26, 2004, 04:00:33 am »
hi folks.

i have a new 5600, upgraded kernel to pre-emptive no pxa workaround kernel. my calender alarm works well.

problem is usually while i\'m working i listen to music via headphones, however sometimes i have to remove the headphones (like when i\'m on the phone), during that period if the calander alarm is triggered, sound is sent to headphones only, and so i miss it!.

is there a way to make only calender alarms to come out of built in speaker and headphone?

Thanks.
Fadi.

I think this is a hardware limitation/feature. It may be like on many hi-fi systems, when you plug headphones in, the sound is routed in the hardware to the headphone socket only.

I might be wrong. There is a mixer device, but there certainly is not much in the way of software to control this if anything.
