File:systc300.dbk Not Exist File
« on: June 11, 2006, 02:07:25 pm »
Hello,

My zaurus can't be turned on, so I decided to put the original rom 'sysc300.dbk'.
I've put the file on a SD formatted in FAT16, then plugged it into my zaurus and finally clicked on 'NAND Flash Restore' in the 'Diagnostic Menu', the same message appear :

'NAND Restore from SD
file:SYSTC300.DBK
not exist file'

What can i do    ?

EDIT : Someone who had the same problem has solved it by changing his SD format from 'fat32' to 'fat', but I am in FAT16 and it still doesn't work.

What size SD are you using... I have heard problems with using a SD or CF over the size of 1gb... Dont mark my word that this is the problem your having... just throwing out some advice...

I use a Iomega(IBM) 340mb Microdrive and it has been working perfect compared to my 1gb (No name) CF and my 128mb Kodak CF... I havent tried a restoring or backing up my NAND using my SD so I can't vouche for which works better...

Hope you get it working...

Thanks for your quick answer.

I have a 256MB 'Dane-elec' SD card !

I'll add that when i format my SD I have this message :

Code: [Select]
Calling ioctl() to re-read partition table.

WARNING: Re-reading the partition table failed with error 22: Invalid argument.
The kernel still uses the old table.
The new table will be used at the next reboot.

fdisk the sd, then remove it, reboot and reinsert the sd, then format it fat 16.  that will take care of the error.

as far as not finding the image.. you didn't use windows to put it onthe card?  maybe try a cf?
