I believe OZ with OPIE can use qpf font files for display of Chinese text. It may support murphytalk as well.

OZ/GPE should support ttf font since it is similar to pdaXrom and uses X11(R6) for graphics. I presume SCIM would run on GPE as well.

I switched back to Cacko 1.23 full for the time being to get some actual work done before trying out OZ and pdaXrom again over the weekend.

Hi,Snappy:

For Chinese display and input on pdaXrom,do you have a try the SYSTC100.DBK from forums.zaurus.cn?

I downloaded it last night but has yet to try it out. Thanks for the reminder ...

sidenote: I also managed to get my wifi cf card working on Cacko 1.23, so its more or less complete. I'll backup and try out the SYSTC100.DBK file. Its a NAND restore file right? *shiver* ... any risks? Pointers I should look out for? Thanks!
