Install Ipk Files

I need help to be able to complete the installatión of gnumeric
it offers a error:
can not load libgnome-2.so.0
and I downloaded it from:
http://ipkgfind.handhelds.org/details.phtm...fs2-0&official=

libgnomevfs2-0_2.0.4-6_arm.ipk

but package manager do not add it to the list of installed files.
I tried it in differents ways and do not work. then I am unable to make gnumeric woks.
Anyone ccan help me now.
any ideas will be wellcome.

I am sorry, but if you were stopped to use your new pda (Zaurus) that you bought in Japan, waitting weeks, later when it arrivaved you were unable to use to work with Abiword (now solved), and (even now) were unable to use it for anyprogram near to excel (microsoft), g numeric, and latter of going to internet coffe, do not found a solution to make that it works, and added to not found i good book about how to learn about linux in your expensive investment, possible you will be as I own, ill (but this is my problem.)

I installed 'libgnome_2.10.0_armv5tel.ipk' yesterday, but do not work.
There other program to use .xls files (excel) or who to solve my problems.

And even I found in France a page where says something similar to that i say:

Là il s'agit peut être là d'une malédiction qui m'est propre mais lorsque j'installe gnumeric, l'ensemble des liens (symlinks) sur les librairies a été zappé... Du coup, voici le petit bout de code qui m'a permis de fixer cela (désolé, pas de version graphique ;-)

Is not a matter of starting multiple threads asking multiple questions, or even asking the same thing again and again. The matter is that it seems you are trying to solve everything just asking. I really don't know your linux background, but I can guess it. There are THOUSANDS of books about Linux for beginners, and Million of websites explaining linux. You don't need to master it, just some introductory concepts would be nice.

I'm not encouraging about buying those books, but there are tons of free info where one can search and learn. People in these forums feel more comfortable to help someone who shows interest, and tries to solve his problems studying, but keeping the direct forum questions for the last situation.

There's also the forum's search option where one can learn even the basics, because 80% of the questions have been already asked, and bandwith isn't cheap to ask something that has been solved, or can help to solve a particular problem.

It looks like you bought a Mercedes without haven't driven even a skateboard, and instead of learning how to drive, you prefer asking for every little bit you see. With all my respect, maybe you chose the wrong brand and model of PDA. Someone would add that the correct path is to use linux in your pc and after that, jump on to Zaurus. Learning linux is hard if you don't want to learn linux, like any other thing.

One last advice is that people get tired of continuous guiding, and you will get less answers/help going this way. Relax, take a good linux for beginners source, and learn. You will be the firs winner, because knowing what you're doing will increase your zaurus experience.

I'm also a beginner, beginner with linux, beginner with Zaurus, but I like reading all these forums, because I learn a lot. I wrote all this from a beginner's point of view.
