Sl-c1000 Purchase On The Web
« on: August 16, 2006, 07:49:05 pm »
Hi, I'm going to buy an SL-C1000 Zaurus, and I've noticed that the only one italian (I'm Italian) sitethat offers it sell his product up to 200 euros more than linuxdevicesDOTCOM,the other eshop well-known on the web.
Bot offers warranty of 1 or 2 year, linuxdevices has a little headquarter in Germany, while the italian ehop has contects with sharp japan and provide to send the item to japan if you have any problem.
But the price is higher...
I wish to know where YOU , all forum members, purchased your item and how is the post sell service and if you had any problems.

Thanks a lot.

You can get it from http://www.pricejapan.com and get it from them. Service is pretty fast, email replies are prompt and prices are amongst the lowest you can find. But you do not get the frills of translation etc, which you can mostly do yourself anyway.

The one sold by pricejapan is using orginal japanese rom, but it's easy to convert it to an english machine.

I also bought from pricejapan, and I am happy with their service.

You can get the english rom from www.zaurusthemes.org.  I can't recall but I think the restoration procedure is included.  Once you have restored the english rom, it becomes a fully english machine.
