Oz 3.5.4.1: Package Problems
« on: September 04, 2006, 05:48:20 am »
Minor issues I discovered when installing various packages:

When installing "firefox" (1.0.6-r0) package, it attemps to directly chmod '/usr/bin/firefox' in postinst.sh. Which causes an error when installing to SD or CF. Could it be fixed to use relative path..?

The modules "perl-module-encode" (5.8.7-r14) and "perl-module-encode-alias" (5.8.7-r14) list each other as dependencies, which makes it impossible to install either without force switches.

The module "scummvm" (0.6.1b-r0) lists a dependency to "libmpeg2 (>= 0.4.0b)", while the actual name of that package is now "libmpeg2-0" (0.4.0b-r1).

Could you please file bugs for that into http://bugs.openembedded.org ? Fora are not suitable for bugtracking

But thank you for spotting them, taking the time to work out what was wrong with each one and then reporting them on the bugtracker so someone can get on and fix them.
