My SL6000 is starting to show signs that the battery is dying.  It doesn't last as long on a full charge as it once did.

I did some quick searching this evening looking for replacment batteries but only found one at Streamline for $150!

Do any of you know of other locations that might be cheaper?

I found mine on ebay for $55 each. I got two of them. I think that you can still have ebay notify you if a certain auction comes up. It might be worth the wait to pay 1/3 the price.

I am sure there are cheaper ones out there, but I was unable to find them. I just bought one from streamlinecpus, and it has given my 6000L new life (especially wlan life). Kind of expensive, but still cheaper than a new Z.

I went the ebay and amazon.com route, but nothing came up for 3 weeks, so I bit the bullet and went with streamlinecpus. I will say, although pricey, they do have good service.

I hope this helps,

Craig...

Streamline CPUs website is down, and my battery is showing signs of being turned to paste as well.
I hate to see that this great handheld computer is about to be tethered to an AC outlet.

I wonder where we can get replacement batteries now?

we still have stock of EA-BL09. They're also pretty
fresh (OK, production date December 2006, but no
dusty 2004ers   ).
If you're interested, just send us a PM or mail to
zaurus(at)trisoft.de .

Dynamism seems to be able to get them.  I've ordered one and they tell me it should get to me (in the US) in a couple of weeks.

Total including shipping: $130

New...not refurbished.  Dun know if they're new new, or old new.

I'll post again when I get it.

Got it.  Came in a sealed box, looked fresh and new, but no manu date stamp.  Seems to hold a charge decently well.

provided an LiIon battery is properly stored, it won't age too much; I guess in theory they're still made as the 6000 is still on sale in Jp, but not being commodity item they're bound to be expensive

Conics, Pricejapan and Dynamism can all get the battery. Price Japan was the most expensive one at roughly 160 USD. The others are around 130 USD shipped. I just ordered one from conics. I'll post when it comes with condition etc.

Well a week and a half later I have my battery. It is in brand new condition. Conics was very fast to reply to emails and shipped quickly.
