Misplaced My Cf Wifi Card
« on: October 14, 2006, 02:51:19 pm »
My Asus WiFi has gone missing, I'm pretty sure I left in the ALT airport last night during  another 'Delta delay'.

So I'm in the market for a new CF WiFi card. I'm also going to add a Bluetooth card to may stable. I found a decent thread that recommended the Socket BT CF card, since it doesn't protrude much.

WhatWiFi card has the smallest antenna?
What WiFi card has the best (least) power usuge?

I plan to use either Cacko or OZ/Opie so I need to be sure it's supported by these ROMs also.

Thanks,

Mark
SL-C3000 - replaced drive w/ 8GB Seagate PhotoDrive
cacko 1.23b with custom tetsu kernel

Misplaced My Cf Wifi Card

I accidentally purchased a symbol spectrum24 cf wifi card bck when I got my 5500 (when they first were released).  Although my unit has been changed a couple of times (5500->c1000->c3200) this card has been a constant.  It works out of the box with all the roms excluding pdaxrom beta 4, but even that can be tweaked to work.  Also, it can be found fairly cheaply.  I picked mine up for between 10 and 20 dollars (usd) (it was so long ago!)

hope this was some help!

Have you called to see if it was found?  I live in Atlanta, and work 5 minutes from the airport.  I could mail it back to you if it hasn't been thrown away.

No I haven't called lost and found. I'll ring them, but it doesn't change my desire for a new WiFi card with the smallest possible antenna.
