Startup Screen Frozen On
« on: November 05, 2006, 10:52:54 am »
I'm on an SL5500.

My screen froze up and then when I did a soft reset it got stuck on the Zaurus screen, QPE won't come up.

I remember hearing that we can do something while its running through the run-levels but I'm not able to find that information.

My last backup was ages ago.  I'm hoping I can get into the kernel and copy the home directory onto an SD card before doing a hard reset.

I'm afraid to turn it off because it might hurt something, but is it bad to leave it on permanently?

I think its not rebooting properly because internal memory was full when it froze and if I can get into the kernel I can
erase some files.

Thanks, sdjf
