Oz Installation (borzoi/terrier)
« on: January 08, 2007, 07:53:01 am »
all c3xxx models seem to be handled the same way. is it possible to handle the
borzoi like an akita and use the internal flash for installation? i thought the are
more or less the same except the internal hd?

thanx, the faq explains more or less why the internal hd is used. on the other hand it will
consume a lot of battery power i guess.

is there any hardware difference between an akita and a borzoi (except the hd)?

okay, assume i want to install oz on the borzoi. what is the best strategy for partitioning
the hd with respect to:
* maybe i want to get back to cacko rom (depends on many things). repartionining the
hd wouldnt be nice. i can dispense with 500 mb or even more without a problem for
testing and/or building my personal oz configuration from time to time with the ultimate
goal to drop cacko rom/sharp rom.
* i want to use opie and the compat libs to run qt applications like opera etc
* i also want to use gpe or e17 or whatever for an x environment.

any suggestions for a direct approach to oz? what about hentges rom?

what does unsupported mean? i guess: no support from developer site. but for
instance opera seems to work with oz 3.5.4. are the compat libs dropped as
a consequence of a 2.6 kernel?

Here's the announcement:

Here's a thread with a new Konqueror that works with the poodle, and 'should' work with your borzoi:

thanx, that was not too far away from my "internal" thoughts:-) i never expected that the
konqueror would run stable on a zaurus and it was always distributed with opie.

i have to give it a try ...
