If you mean Post #48 - that was about SD/CF < 2GB, not NAND
I mount portage tree via NFS

> Any hope on I have Gentoo working on my SL-C3000 ?
Yes, just compile your own kernel or use compiled, Civil has gentoo on his c3100

The C3000 is a completely different beast than the C3100. It has much less space on NAND than the C1000/C3100/C3200. I would imagine some further hacking would be necessary to get it working on a C3000 (but I may be dead wrong here).

ignore your flash and set root=/dev/hda1 and they're both the same

Wow, i didn't notice gentoo on Z has made so much progress.
Isn't it about time guys set up a new forum for Gentoo/Z?

Life is too precious for hacking *too much*

WM Desktop environment question (I have NO gentoo experience)

Can I just "emerge KDE?"

is there a gui wm chooser? xdm? gdm? kdm?

As you can maybe tell, I decided to give this a whirl

BTW, has anyone given a shot at getting epiphany using webkit instead of gecko on the Z?

Nevermind--couldn't get uboot to do anything but reboot itself.

So far as I am aware, you can just "emerge package" I used Gentoo for a bit, and the only snag was some packages had odd names (like xfce4 and not xfce, sdl and not libsdl when the other SDL libs were "libsdlxyz").
SL-C750- pdaXrom beta 1 (mostly unused)
Current distro: Gentoo
