Xfe Package By 2or0 Gives Minor Problems

Hi guys,

does anyone else have this problem?

Xfe starts nicely and seems to operate well, except if I want to enter text in dialog fields.
For example in the Preferentes / Fonts tab I cannot modify the used fonts manuall. I have to use the "Select" button.
Also, when Right-clikcing on a file, chooing "Open with", I cannot enter an application to open the file with.
The letters I type simply do not appear in the edit fields.
However, the backspace key works (deleting characters e.g. from that font dialog).

Any idea what could cause this?

Hi daniel3000,

I think xfe is supposed to is used with xfonts but I compiled fox library with xft option to support UTF8. So the text box  has xfont option but you can choose ttf font.

The second is comming from xim support option for fox. I tried to write in xfw with uim but I could not. When I typed with uim, it is ok. I removed xim option and posted it again.

Well I just tried it and it works perfectly now ^__^ Thanks 2or0. (Yes, I use pcmanfm, but I like to alternate with xfe for some tasks).
