Mtd1 And Nandlogical
« on: June 19, 2007, 03:13:54 pm »
Can anyone confirm whether the block wear levelling used on the first partition of the sharpsl-nand (the 128Mb flash not the 8Mb sharpsl-flash device) which makes it necessary to use nandlogical instead of nandwrite/nanddump is just a software feature os is there a physical implementation that only does that job on a specific reagion of the nand chip ?

I'm wondering if it's safe to change the size of mtd1 (with adeguate care to use an opensource boot loader like u-boot to cope with ne new mtd1 layout) ?
Regards
David
