Encode video on a Mac to Play on a Z?
« on: March 13, 2004, 12:49:45 pm »
How can I encode video on a mac to play on a Z 5500?

I have an EyeTV recorder and I can play MPEG1 clips from that on the Zaurus with the sharp media player. It does not play too well.

I tried the mplayer command line app and it looked like it might work but it kept overwriting the video with text. What command line options should I use to play a video?

Can I get quicktime pro and encode a MPEG-4 video at a very low bitrate and size so I can play it with tkcVideo?

Or can I use a tool to re-encode my EyeTV MPEG-1 to a lower bitrate to play better on the Zaurus media player?

thanks,
ac
